I'm setting up this thread in the hope of rebuilding the contribution community for Vatican City DvD collectors. This thread is intended to be the primary source of communication between contributors. Firstly i don't think it is necessary to have a leadership structure in place for all areas of contribution, as I'm am anarchist and I prefer to steal the work of others and still be able to claim the moral high ground. Perhaps I'm being a bit lofty purposing this, as I also don't speak Italian or Latin.

I'm small fish and some what ignorant in a lot of way's of contribution. But i feel as collectors we all have a vested interest in ensuring we have abundant and accurate database at our disposal.
Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?  Guttermouth "Lemon Water".  Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally.  So I'm an anarchist, deal with it.  Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted...

While I like the idea as such I have to ask myself why you waited with this approach until after the german pope retired?
Is it that you have anti german resentments?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Perhaps he prefers Argentinian tango to German schlagers...?

Probably, but I fear that Ratzinger wasn't that much for Schlager either. Being Bavarian he most likely preferred Volksmusik, which is even worse.

It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

O dear, now my mind's eye is imagining Ratzinger in Lederhosen...

Yeah, and since we already have a Martian among our fellow users, an alien collectors contributor thread can't be far off either...

I'm somewhat disappointed that some people don't seem to be taking my amazingly generous offer very seriously.  I imagine the Vatican has a quite extensive collection of discs that could greatly enhance the online database.  (Insert extremely complex finger-wagging-disapprovingly smiley here)

I'll have you know I had a German partner for many years; then she came to her senses...    She introduced me to my first ever German language comedy DVD, a thing I didn't believe existed.

Oh, they do exist in vast abundance.
Problem is: Most of them are about as funny as gonorrhea.

Airline version of Airport would have been funnier. Or a cruise ship version of Titanic.

This is your captain speaking on our non stop flight to Uruguay. Today's in flight movie will be Alive. Thanks for flying with us.
