| Posted: | | | | What's new in DVD Profiler 3.0?There are so many updates, upgrades, improvements and new features in 3.0, it's almost easier to list what isn't new. For a list of the big items, see the Release Notes page. There are some differences to pay special attention to: Program requirements have changed: Windows 95 and 98 are no longer supported, and Windows Vista support has been added. Windows XP and Windows 2000 support is continued. The minimum supported screen resolution is now 1024x768. With the new configurable, graphical layout system, DVD Profiler will take full advantage of the highest resolutions, and as many monitors as you can connect. In-program ads are gone, and there is no longer any need for a free registration key. There are still no limits on collection size. However, after entering 50 DVDs, some features will become unavailable. See here for a full list. The XML export system has been completely rewritten and is now fully standards-based. Changes in the format may require updates to third party tools that read this XML. The price finder feature has been removed. This may be revisited, but for now there are several excellent web-based alternatives. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for creating a new "Interviews"-checkbox in the Features-section. It always bugged me having to use "Featurettes" and line in Notes-field for it... | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |

| Posted: | | | | I'm at work, so I have a quick question - have any updates been made to the formatting of cast & crew? | | | "I am Andrew Ryan and I am here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?
No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose… Rapture." |

It all looks pretty good so far Ken...
I'm not going to bother mentioning any issues. I think some patience are in order here until things settle some with the server and stuff.
Thanks Ken,,, for the effort and honoring the free upgrades. It does mean alot to me and other here I'm sure...

Had a app that built a separate database based upon the XML file that is created. Now I can not longer do that as I keep getting nested loops. The MediaTypes table that is created contains an entry for DVD, which is the over all table. How can we fix this?
Thanks! Dean |

By parsing the XML correctly. /Collection/ DVD and /Collection/DVD/MediaTypes/ DVD are two different things. That's nothing new in v3, for example, v2 already had /Collection/DVD/ Overview and /Collection/DVD/Locks/ Overview. | | | Matthias |
