| Posted: | | | | Hello.
I've watched a couple of films recently that appear to have '5-track mono'; in the sense that exactly the same track comes out of each speaker and my AV amp and (the sleeve) report the track as DD5.1. In each case switching to the DD2.0 Surround track immediately splits the sound up so that's it's clearly not mono. (With headphones on the 5.1 track was clearly mixed down to mono).
Do we contribute these as DD 5.1 or DD Mono?
Thanks.

Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

| Posted: | | | | I would just enter it as 5.1 The rules only specify to select Mono if: Quote: Note: Select Mono for both 1-channel and 2-channel mono. It currently says nothing about doing it for these types of 5.1 tracks. | | | Corey |
