| Posted: | | | | At home this afternoon: I just wish my Internet connection somehow reflected my worth as a person. And where's my A+?! | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

| Posted: | | | | Just wanted to give a shout out to the OP as I recently did this test (maybe a month ago?) and the numbers were horrible. So, we called our provider last week when we had some time and found out that we had a really, really old option and upgraded. We even SAVED money by going up to the "new" tier (plus, of course, faster service).
Used the test to see the new speed, while improved, still wasn't half of what we were paying for. Called today to see what was going on, turns out there is a physical problem with our line so a tech is coming tomorrow to fix it.
Even though we're not getting what we're paying for right now, the speed has tripled just with what the line can handle. Hopefully by tomorrow night, I'll be fully up to what we're paying for!
TLDR version: Worth calling your provider if your speed sucks and you've been a customer for a long time. | | | Lori |
