| Posted: | | | | I'm talking about Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond.
From the rules: Episode descriptors are part of the title; separate them with a colon and space; e.g. "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock". For multiple descriptors, use a colon and space for each break.
So should they be Star Trek: Into Darkness and Star Trek: Beyond or without the colon?
Since these are "Episode" descriptors of the sequels do we follow the rules or leave the titles as is? |

| Posted: | | | | I'd say without, but I wouldn't downvote someone retitling with a colon, because I can't think of a practical reason not to, other than Star Trek: Beyond being a silly title. |

| Posted: | | | | To me, it's how it rolls off the tongue. Star Trek Beyond and Star Trek Into Darkness sound correct. You're not pausing for a semicolon like you are when you say, for example, Star Trek: First Contact. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| Posted: | | | | No colon. It's meant as an action phrase. Kinda like "Batman Begins" or "The Dark Knight Rises". You wouldn't enter those as "Batman: Begins" or "The Dark Knight: Rises". That'd just be silly. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page |
