This was never really cleared. The fraction who insists, that all type of voice credits are valid, reference this statement of Ken:with the hint, that the wording non-specific voice credits is intentionally universal. On the other hand, there are several threads around this issue - most of them rather emotional as it was usual in times Skip honoured us - saying that they should not be valid... including rather explicit poll results.

I don't list them myself, but I don't remove them neither.

For the common name threads I follow the rule of the thumb the more the better and count them in.

As long as something like German dubbers are deemed valid, then it's pretty hard to argue against the inclusion of voice actors who were, unlike those dubbers, actually involved in the film's production and are actually credited within the regular film credits...

I was pretty sure of it, yeah. Here's two screenshots of his 'Seinfeld' appearance, he appears at the very end of the episode. Seeing it in motion, and comparing it with a couple of photos of our Billy "Sly" Williams from around that time, it's him.

Well, then at least in my opinion, neither of those should be in the DB.
I find it rather silly to add voice dubbers into a cast list. And to me it feels like it should be a rule against that since they are not in the main credits, except for in regional copies. That is, outside of a movie.
Incredibly difficult to verify such credits unless you get your hands on that copy.
I think we should avoid this.
And ADR cast is just IMO dumb and unnecessary. So "the more the merrier" is definitely not my philosophy in such cases.
I'm glad "Skip" is gone. But there's no Ken anymore either so we could have a go at settings things straight. Just matters of opinion.

By the way, I was unable to visit the link by AiAustria.
I get the message "You are not authorized to view this page."
More dumbness.

I agree with you, but Ken has ruled that they're valid entries... And if even *those* are considered valid entries, then it's pretty hard to argue against any voice actors that, unlike those dubbers, actually do appear within the main credits.

It's a post in the "Contribution Rules Committee", to which not everyone has access - you needed to ask Invelos to grant you access. I'm guessing it'll be pretty hard to gain access at this point...
