| | Posted: | | | | Here's another tricky one: I'm working through the third disc of a 6-disc variant version of 50 Western Classics not yet on DVD Profiler. The set seems to freely mix episodes of TV shows with movies. For example, disc 2 has an episode of Judge Roy and Bonanza mixed in with seven movies, while disc 3 has two episodes of Judge Roy Bean along with seven more movies. I was going to just create child profiles for the episodes as long as no more than one episode of a particular series was on the same disc, but that goes out the window with disc 3. Thoughts? Normally episodes of shows aren't separated by child profiles because they're part of a TV series set, but maybe make an exception if they're part of a set dominated by movies? Or maybe group the episodes of the same show together when they're on the same disc? The back cover of the set misleadingly treats them as separate movies (so part of the 50 tally, not bonus features). | | | | Last edited: by AndyEN |

| | Posted: | | | | I'm sure that not everyone will agree, but personally, if I bought a box set called '50 Western Classics' and among those 50 "films" were a couple of TV show episodes, I would still create 50 child profiles, one for each "film". So I would personally disregard the fact that a couple of them really are TV episodes, but treat each of the 50 parts making up this set each exactly the same, meaning a box set profile with 50 child profiles.
But as I said: there's bound to be someone who would use a different approach. I can only tell you how I would handle it. |
