Alright, I'm not sure how to catalog the audio and video specs for the main profile, in this case, for the MVD release of Windtalkers: Ultimate Edition.  According to the contribution rules this doesn't fall under the box set rules because this contains only one film, but multiple cuts (not multiple films).  The audio specs are vastly different between the two cuts and the video specs are slightly different.

Per the contribution rules, the rating for an unrated cut or the running time of the longer cut takes precedence, but what about the audio specs?

Fairly sure that all specs should reflect that of the longest cut of the film.

... or the one of the highest quality: 4K over BD over DVD.

Awkward, if the directors cut is on a minor media...
Complete list of Common Names  •  A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1)

Yep, the rules specify using the main media type for the main profile, but they do allow for the other media types to be added as optional child profiles.

In this case, both are on Blu-ray discs and the cover art doesn't promote a main version; e.g. [title]: Director's Cut or [title]: Theatrical Version.

If the rules order us to use the running time of the longer cut, then I'll use the audio/video specs of that same longer cut as well.

That is also what I do.

Thanks everyone, I'll go with this.  Just wanted to make sure I was contributing it correctly the first time.

If I remember right, the 4K Suicide Squad is the same, where the extended version is on BD and only the theatrical version is 4K. It kind of made me a bit angry when I received it. Now I double-check before buying any 4K.

This only applies when the different versions are on the same disc!

For branching titles, or those with multiple versions (e.g. Theatrical and Director's Cut) on the same disc, use the longest running time.

If the different versions are on more than one disc I would profile disc 1 in the main profile and use child profiles for the alternate versions. eg. compare the Shout! "Dawn of the Dead (Collector's Edition)" 826663-180466.
