| Posted: | | | | I recently bought a complete series on dvd and I was wondering what numbering to use.
The one on the physical disc or the one on the disc menu.
Season one is fine, but when I get to Season two of the set this is what's on disc 1 of season 2.
On the disc itself. Disc 6 Season 2 Episodes 23-27
On the disc menu itself On the main menu: Season 2 Disc 1 and on the episode sub-menu the episodes are listed 1-5
So do I use for the disc id field
Disc 6: Season 2: Episodes 23-27
or
Season 2: Disc 1: Episodes 1-5
or perhaps
Disc 6: Season 2: Episodes 1-5 |

| Posted: | | | | This'll be hard to get a consensus on. Personally, I would list this as "Episodes 6.1-6.5", but that's just me. In any case, I would leave out the disc number, as the Disc ID section in DVD Profiler has it's own column for disc numbering. And if it's already called disc #6 in that column, then it really doesn't need to be labelled as "Disc 6" a second time. |

| Posted: | | | | I personally agree with Tim but I have seen it done other ways as well. And like Tim I don't think you will find a concensus on it.
I never seen the disc number added. I have seen peoople write out the word season (which I don't like) and I also seen people use no season indicator at all.and just number the episdoes 1 thru say 100.,, which I have mixed feelings about. | | | Pete |
