Valid Producer & Writing Credit?

Many older film haven't got credits with standardised crew roles as modern films have most of the times.
So sometimes it get's a bit tricky to decide whether a credit is valid according to the contribution rules.
Here are two credits from F.W. Murnau's Sunrise:

1. Most profiles in the database list William Fox as producer.
    The only credit appearing in the film is this:

Besides that he is listed as producer in the booklet of Eureka's UK Blu-ray release.

2. Most profiles in the database list Carl Mayer as screenwriter.
  The only credit appearing in the film is this:


No other writing or producer credit appears anywhere in the film.

Should one or both roles be credited in the database?
Think different

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.

I've seen quite a few of "<name> Presents" credits, and from what I've seen, they're never included in our database. There's been an earlier thread about this as well:
