| Posted: | | | | This is what the rules states: Quote: A simple list of Episodes may also be added to the standard overview. Do not add episode synopses to the overview field, but these can be added to the local non-contributed “Notes” field. Sounds good, but I have come across so many profiles that enter them differently. Some is just a list of episodes, some are just a list, but with 1. in front of the episodes. Some use bolding, italics or just standard text for the header of "Episodes". For example I have come across these. Some of the examples use bolding or italics for the Episodes header. No header at all, just the episodes 1. Title 2. Title Episodes:1. Title ******** Episodes:1. Title "******* EPISODES:1. Title ******** EPISODES:1. Title ******** (Episode List) 1. Title ******** Episode List 1. Title ******** Episodes; 1.Title ******* EPISODES 1. Title ******** Episode Listing 1. Title ****** I know that it's a little thing, but I think it would be good to have a standard way of entering these, because even in the same series episodes are entered differently sometimes from one season to another. Personally I like: Episodes:1. Title |

| Posted: | | | | I don't know of any standard. But I personally prefer omitting the header, because of the language issues: The episodes themselves are listed in locality language; which language should the header use... | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) |

| Posted: | | | | I dont believe there is a standard, but I know from experience that some have strong feelings about it. I have had no votes on contributions that added a list of episodes with the unformatted header:
Episodes:
on the ground that the rules require a simple list of episodes.
No header might be fine if there is nothing else in the overview. A header becomes useful, however, to separate the list from the text taken from the back cover.
EDIT: Also, what to do when dealing with several seasons packaged together, like in Naked City: The Complete Series (014381863826) or Sports Night: The Complete Series (826663109290)? Should not there be a header of some kind to separate the seasons in the list? | | | Last edited: by Wigram |

Well, the inconsistent mess of examples that CubbyUps is showing - and there are plenty more - certainly isn't "simple" anymore. The only simple way to format these, consistent throughout all regions, localities and languages, is to use no headers whatsoever. Just: 1. Episode Title 2. Episode Title and so on. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

1. Title 2. Title ...
Season 2
1. Title 2. Title ... And I prefer starting the counting for each season with 1! But both is not covered by the rules anyways, neither forced nor forbidden... | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) | | | Last edited: by AiAustria |

| Posted: | | | | Now this was years ago and I don't know if he will change his mind... but when this was brought up in the rules forum Ken was against any standard on this at that time anyway. | | | Pete |
