Just finished auditing the Complete Series Boxset for Absolutely Fabulous: Absolutely All of It! UPC: 883929371242

Added things like proper running time, all features, all cast and crew etc. etc. but had a question about the covers for this particular set.

If you look at the profile, the back cover scan is currently correct (it's a cardboard attachment that comes with one of those little sticky globs of glue on it to hold it to the set).

The front cover is not. Here's a photo of the set:

The cover that is currently in the profile is the one you see with the two people on it (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley who are the two main stars of the series).

That is actually the cover to the rounded keep case that comes INSIDE the pinkish/purpleish "clutch case" (as the overview describes it).

The ACTUAL front cover is the clutch case itself.

So here's my question.

I can scan the clutch case and submit that as the cover and it would technically be correct. I've already scanned it, and it's not a GREAT scan because of the way it sits, the fact that the gold clasp is highly reflective and you can barely read Absolutely Fabulous on it and it's landscape orientation not portrait orientation so the writing on the clasp is displayed from bottom to top instead of left to right (which is why I'm assuming the original contributor didn't submit that as the cover).

Would submitting the image I have pictured above (a photo grabbed from Amazon) be acceptable for a front cover? Or does it have to just be a scan of the clutch case?
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

Have you tried to make an actual photograph instead of a scan?

I have never had that work out for me.

I've tried with highly reflective covers before, like, what are they called, holofoil covers or something like that?

Never had it work, so I'm not sure I'd do a great job with that in this case here.

what you suggest would be against the rules as the rules state image must be of the front and back only.

Thanks for that ruben. That's incredibly similar to the one I've scanned myself. I'm not super crazy about how the reflective gold part of the cover scans when scanning, it's my insane OCD    I recently submitted a new cover to the recent Criterion release of Rebecca because the one that was in the system had a small white fleck on the face of Judith Anderson, I have issues, this I know

I also had AiAustria take the time to pm me a cover as well, which I'm SUPER appreciative of, you guys are great

Thanks everyone.

I submitted all the updates (minus the cover update) yesterday, so I'll take the time to figure out/find the best cover of the clutch and submit that after the other updates have been approved.

Appreciate everyone's input and help!
