I couldn't see this is a post anywhere, but if it has been asked I do apologise.

I have Blade II on DVD and both editions are 2DVD but the cases are different sizes....how do I log both in the database?

One of them is a "standard" sized case that a single DVD version of a movie would be in, yet the other is in a case that would fit 4+ DVDs.

I thank everyone in advance for any help they can give this collector.

Are the covers significantly different? If so, the first should be entered as usual and the second one as an alternate version of the UPC/EAN.

Quoting the contribution rules (emphasis by me):
Quote:
Alternate versions are designed to solve three general cases:
Updated re-releases of a title under the same UPC/EAN/Disc ID
        [... ]
Use for: Two or more releases of the same title with significantly different content
Unrelated releases of different titles that share the same UPC/EAN
        [... ]
More than one film on the same side of a single disc (including Bonus Feature Films)
        [... ]

If the covers are essentially identical and everything else except the case is the same, only the earliest release should be submitted.

Nope it's pretty much the same cover just a different size case case, so at the risk of sounding dumb (and I'd rather ask one more time to get things right) this is just a double when it comes to this database?

Thanks for the information

I am not sure what you mean by double... There are two slightly different releases of the same title under the same barcode. Because they are not different enough, they are represented in the online database by a single profile.

Obviously you can enter them both in your own database, using for instance a manual profile for the second entry. You cannot contribute that second profile to the online db, howerer.

If both would be keepcase and the art is the same, nothing would be different in the online DB, yes.

Sounds like one of the cases is an Amaray case (thinner) while the other is an Alpha case (thicker).  As Ace_of_Sevens mentioned both would be classified as a keepcase.  I'm not sure what ever happened with the Alpha manufacturer, but those cases seemed to have disappeared for new releases long ago.
