| Posted: | | | | I did a search for this and someone else had this come up 10 years ago... with no resolution. If the DB repair doesn't work, might want to open up a technical support ticket. http://invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=170300Edit: Another thread I found (concerning that second error), suggests maybe it didn't convert from 3.9 to 4.0. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

| Posted: | | | | I did a data base repair ( as suggested) before I installed the 4.0 over my 3.9 and I have notice a noticeable increase in crashes this past week.,, I use to 'maybe' get one crash for every 20 new openings (with3.9) ( if that, ,) now this past week I get about 3 crashes for every 5 openings .. or 60% increase in Crashes .
The crashes occurred for little things . .like moving from wish list to ordered., or when the program opened with a disc already in dvdrom tray, 4.0 noticed I already had my Cyberlink PowerDVD16 player program opened & in place already, when usually profiler finds the dvd in tray and then wants to open the powerdvdplayer because of inserted disc ID.., so therefore because of program already placed and on desktop the 4.0 program it Crashed ... So another repair has just completed and I can guarantee that it may crash again later this week.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Me too I have problems with the new version. Normally i rarely do updates on programs, but in this case I have Always been satisfied of dvdprofiler without problems ... I downloaded the new 4.0 and ... I regret it for sure. Now it's as good as impossible to load new profiles in the database. I got the message : "Cannot modify a read-only dataset. Do a database repair." I've done it many times but nothing changes. Always the same. Can someone help me please? Thank you. |

| Posted: | | | | You should post in the Beta Release forum per the 4.0 announcement. Don't know if you'll get any (or better) responses, but maybe it will be seen by support. | | | Registered: February 10, 2002 |
