| Posted: | | | | i tracked and will track again my music cd's. I had to redo my db due to a few phantom profiles that wouldn't go away. most is entered back in now except my audio cds. I will also add in data cd's and track install keys with the program as well. |

| Posted: | | | | Any folks out there want to try writing a plugin? A CDDB plugin might be a fun project. Given that the API is free (i think) and now DVD Profiler has the ability to create custom fields, it should be relatively "easy." I don't have the time, but I wish I did. It would be fun. (By the way, custom fields means you don't even have to re-purpose DVD fields. A plugin can create new ones. They are backed up, restored, included in XML, HTML sections and filters - just like all the other fields!) Right now, the UI for custom fields is managed by the plugins that support those fields. But if we find more ways to use custom fields, Ken might be motivated to support his own UI and allow custom fields to appear in reports and in the online profile display (they are already backed up to the online). Now that would take DVDP to a whole other level. Another little known fact: there is an officially supported way for a plugin to create new profile ID formats that can be stored in the database. See Developer Forum for more details. Hopefully somebody else will come along and take a stab at it. I'm sure the other developers would give you lots of support if you need it, and I think it would be a popular plugin, so you will gets lots of love from the community! | | | Thanks for your support.
