| Posted: | | | | Many German films are partially funded by government agencies like the German Federal Film Board or agencies of one of the 16 German states. These agencies clearly don't get credits as production companies because they are always credited with terms like " Gefördert mit Mitteln... (supported with funds of...)". Now I came across a Australian series and it looks like Australia has a similar system of film funding. But the credits look rather different: Normally Screen Australia as well as Film Victoria would get studio credits because they appear in the opening credits and even get a copyright credit in the end credits. But according to their websites both "companies" look like above mentioned film subsidies: Film Victoria is the State Government agency that provides strategic leadership and assistance to the film, television and digital media sectors of Victoria.Screen Australia is a Federal Government agency charged with supporting Australian screen development, production and promotion. So the question is whether those institutions get production company credits despite the fact that they aren't real companies?P.S. As I'm writing this I realised that the Australian Broadcasting Corporation is also a kind of government agency, because it's Australia's public service broadcaster (like the British BBC, the German ARD or (I'm not sure about that the American PBC?)). So sometimes we do credit government agencies as production companies. But does this also apply to film subsidies? | | | Think different
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end. |

| Posted: | | | | I voted No. But I based my vote on the actual credit here ("in association with"), not just because it's a government agency.
Would the credits read
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation
with Screen Australia and Film Victoria present
then I would add them in DVD Profiler as producers. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | Based on the credits, as presented, the studios should be: Australian Broadcasting Corp., Screen Australia, Film Victoria & Every Cloud. I have seen many studio credits written this way. If it had read... Quote:
Walt Disney Presents
In Association with Jerry Bruckheimer Films
