| Posted: | | | | A good morning, afternoon
My hard disk don't start up anymore, I had to install a brand new. I had an old back up of my films and so I'm missing 200 films. With explorer I'm able to see all what is on that disc. Is there a way to re-capture the files that I need to complete my database?
With many thanks.
Johan Neirinck.
PS: You gave me an answer to this same question, but I don't know where the answer is gone. many excuses. |

| Posted: | | | | If you can see stuff on that drive, then it must be starting up mechanically. Sounds like you had a corruption problem that might have been solved without a new drive. No matter, maybe you can use the drive for something else in the future.
Anyways, If you can see ...\Users\Username\Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases on the old drive, then you can copy the "Default" or other folder to get databases that are on that hard drive. Copy the folder over to the new drive, and you should be able to open the database from DVD Profiler, and then make a backup for use later.
Alternatively, as you say, you can see all what is on the old drive, then you should also be able to see any backup files on it as well (backup files have an extension of ".dpb" or ".dpb.bak") | | | Thanks for your support.
