I tried to contribute an alternate version for this Blu-ray: https://www.amazon.de/Paradies-Liebe-Blu-ray-Inge-Maux/dp/B00CZ2JKOI/ref=sr_1_2_twi_blu_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482258187&sr=8-2&keywords=Paradies+liebe.
It was denied because of the cover. I should mark it as adult or put the genre as adult. But it is not an adult movie. It is FSK 16 and mostly a drama. There is no reason to mark it as adult. And the already existing version isn't marked as adult either.

This one really is quite simple...several years back Invelos made a statement that if there is nudity on the cover it must be marked adult no matter the rating.

As Pete said, it is because of the cover.  Invelos is a US based company and any content that is shown on their website is subject to US law so nudity on the cover equals adult.

Seriously, there is a US law that prohibits you from showing nudity on a cover?
Do you by any chance know the name of that law? I would really like to read this for myself...

No, not on the cover, as an image on the website.  Because all covers that are not marked as adult can be seen on the website, they have to be 'family friendly'.

... in Europe either...

"Jugendgefährdende Inhalte" have to be seperated: behind curtains in shops, behind Yes-I-Am-18-Buttons in the web, etc.

The only difference is the definition of nudity/Jugendgefährdung/whatever. There are the american laws a little bit conservative

But I read a readers letter in a German IT magazine, where a father claimed the cartoon to be too harsh for his taste... So times are changing; we need more protection either

Yeah, but this has nothing to do with the cover. It is the content which determines how the product may be presented (exception is HC porn and some horror titles).

The cover has to be presented to the FSK either. But the problem here is, that the rating is not internationally universal. Different countries, different ratings and different rating responsibilities. As rule of the trumb: no nudity, no risk
