| Posted: | | | | While i would love for these to be media options as I to have moved most my collection online I don't see if happening. For one there is a custom media thing you can use and the second is that I have seen people turning it down for years on here stating its "DVD" profiler and not digital movie. Even if it was just a embedded option further into the profile that you could check option such as which format or UV/Itunes/Amazon/Google/etc |

| Posted: | | | | I would like to see the option of tracking where the digital copies are redeemed at. I have many movies (close to 4,000) and I would like to know where I redeemed the digital movie certificate included with many reside. We have so many like Disney, Sony, UV, VUDU, and Paramont to name a few, it would be great to know who I redeemed the certificate inside the hard case with.
Before everyone starts, it is possible to redeem a certificate with VUDU even if it is registered with Sony on the certificate. Disney, too. This way I can tag if I redeemed it at Disney or VUDU.
As far as digital only collections, someone can do it with this software already, if they want. Just make custom tags telling you which service.
I would prefer to have the tags show on the display because I tend to watch more movies via these methods, but I still purchase the disc versions with digital copes (which are on every major DVD release today) to have the disc in the event of internet failure (which can be frequent in my rural area). I want my physical collection but want to know where my included digital copies reside, also. |

| Posted: | | | | I concur that it is time to add this ability to DVD Profiler. It really makes sense if DVD Profiler is going to continue to be relevant in the modern age. DVD and BluRay sale dropped 11% in 2015 while digital sales increased by 18%. In 2016, digital sales overtook physical media which dropped a further 10% from the already diminished 2015 numbers. If DVD Profiler doesn't keep up, it will go out with the DVD. I have always had custom media types for LaserDisc (yes I still have a few dozen), a scant few VHS as well as a Digital category. |
