| | Posted: | | | | The movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition, UPC 883929447435 has the 3D theatrical version as the parent, a 2D theatrical version as a child and 2D extended version as a child. If we use the specs from the 2D extended version for the parent profile, we don't have the individual specs for the 3D theatrical version, however the 2D extended version ends up with it's specs for the parent and the individual child. This makes no sense to me. If this is how it's supposed to be, so be it. I'll just keep mine to myself.
The rules reads:
For branching titles, or those with multiple versions (e.g. Theatrical and Director's Cut) on the same disc, use the longest running time.

| | Posted: | | | | I don't own this version, but IMO the specs/run time from the 3D version should be used in the parent and the extended run time should be reserved for the child. The extended cut of the film is not on the same disc as the 3D version, and the 3D version should be the parent.
Here's the rule you quoted, bolding by me:

I don't own the release, but looking at it in the database it currently has 183 min. entered as the running time in the parent, and the specifications on the back cover only list the "Theatrical Version" (151 min.) being in 3D, which is on the main 3D disc. You were just trying to correct it to the shorter running time then? If there is no branching, that seems to be the correct way of doing it based on the rules... so I don't understand why it would be voted down or declined either. | | | | Corey |
