To give you all a general idea of the integrated process. Gunnar's CastCrewCheck was explicitely written so you can easily type the cast and crew information from the actual credits. As such it is perfectly within the rules and contributeable, whereas IMDb-mined data is not. But typing all of the credits is a lot of work and there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start. That's where my Cast/Crew Edit 2 comes into play. It grabs the data from IMDb and puts it back into Gunnar's CastCrewCheck. Afterwards you just need to correct the data that is either deliberately or accidentally wrong on IMDb. Once you've checked and corrected the mined data against the end credits you are back within the rules. Your advantage: A lot less typing. |
