| Posted: | | | | Hi everybody,
I am a new user of DVD Profiler. It seems pretty good but I have a couple of questions: - in case of multi-level box sets is there a way to have only the main box listed in reports (either simple lists or cover art)? - is it possible to move info from disc level up to box level? I tried but they are overwritten by each new disc, I am searching something like "append" to keep the content of all the discs.
Thank You |

Not the complete profiles, you will have to edit the Box Set prolfile and Paste or in the case of cast and crew Paste Append. i.e. Edit each child profile copy the section you want to put in the parent (box set) profile then edit and paste into the parent. Disc-ids can not be copied and pasted in the manner, you will have to scan the disc in the parent profile. Link to another post with instruction on cast and crew. And to reiterate - Since these profiles will not meet the contribution rules, do not submit them. | | | Registered: February 10, 2002 |

In the lower right corner of the Reports pop-up select Box Set Cases. Already done that, doesn't work, the report shows the main box AND each box inside. I think it's because they are box sets themselves. Quote:

Yeah, that seems to be the problem. I fixed a similar problem by introducing a tag "purchased item". Read Create, edit and set Tags if you are not familiar with this function of Profiler, and create a tag e.g. "Toplevel Item" and assign that to all desired profiles. Now filter for that tag and run the report "as filtered" cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

cya, Mithi Wouldn't I get only the items I assigned that tag to this way? |

You can still choose "Standard (show all records, sort by title)" in the Reports dialog, but yeah, if filtered the "As filtered..." is default so I overthought it a bit. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | No matter what option I choose I get either all the items (as when I don't use tags) or only the tagged ones. I was wondering about the opposite way: is it possible to tag some items and then filter them out? |
