Hi,

A quick introduction. I'm Ian first time poster and a lurker on this forum . I'm not a big contributor, I do my small parts. But with entering a new UPC, I was doubting myself what to enter or what not to enter.

I've bought the Blu-ray 3D Kung Fu Panda. With that came also the 2D Blu-ray version.
But with the 3D version there were no subtitles or features on the disc. On the 2D version there are subtitles and features. Do I enter the subtitles and all the features or not. Because I bought the 3D version and got the 2D as an extra disc. So I thought the 3D is the main disc in this case. I've seen this a quite a lot were the 3D differs from the 2D. But that for example al the data is entered from both discs or just the disc with the most data.

Also most of the time when I buy a 3D movie, I check the profile first, for what languages or subtitles are on it especially for 3D blu-rays. But I'm than disappointed the 3D version hasn't have got that language or subtitle on it. Because the 2D data was also added.

Maybe this is a question already ask, but I couldn't find the answer in this case

I feel like a Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray combo should be treated similarly to a Blu-ray/DVD combo for the reason you stated, however others here will disagree.  The rules have not amended since the advent of Blu-ray 3D.  Right now it mentions a difference for Blu-ray/DVD combos (A combo which includes HD media (HD-DVD, Blu-ray) as well as DVD should use the details from the HD media in the main profile), but until the rules specifically address this type of combo you will have disagreements.

I'd say, it depends, how you contribute such a feature:
a) One profile for the 3D disc (using the UPC) and an additional profile for the 2D disc (using the disc ID) - which would be right, if you treat it like a BD/DVD combo, or
b) One single profile for the feature including both disc ids - which would be correct, if you see this as one single feature with a 2D bonus disc.

According to our rule set both seem correct to me.

For a) you should not include the bonus features with main profile; for b) you should include the bonus features with the main profile and mention the 2D version in the Other Features line.

Just my two cents...
Complete list of Common Names  •  A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1)
