When I tried to add this Blu-ray By Inserted Disc, the Title was unknown. [left]

But added by UPC, the Title exists, with the very same Disc ID. [right]

Do we have a problem with disc identification that I'm not aware off?

It often does it with Blu-ray discs...and is probably an existing bug.

I just tried adding a Blu-ray By Inserted Disc that was already entered in my collection (and in the database) and it shows up with the same (unknown) in all fields.

Yes, indeed, same here. Then this is not an obscure but a more general problem. Never noticed it before because I usually Add by UPC.

Should get fixed. Preferably before we add another physical Media Type.

Just added as a note to Invelos: might be related to the older reported problem and workaround. See here.

Just tested some B-rDs again, with or without opened Profiler windows. Some were recognized, others not. I do not see a pattern, yet. Is it related to Region Code settings, or AACS/BD+ copy protection? I don't know. Should get fixed.

Just noticed this bug is still present in DVD Profiler 4.0.0 - is it necesserary to report it somewhere else to get it fixed?

I've noticed weird quirks with adding by disc ID, too. When I've had this problem, I've been able to resolve it by doing the following:

1) Close Profiler.
2) Make sure the DVD/BD is recognized in your "My Computer" screen.
3) Open Profiler again. Try to add by Disc ID.

It seems as if the CD-ROM needs to be "primed" in DVDProfiler. It's kind of odd.  I have this problem on my WIN10 with DVD and WIN7 with BD.
