Today the 16th the secrets can come out .. and from what I've been reading and hearing this movie continues in the tradition of the 77 to 83 series .. some even saying this is Number 4.. and one KTLA critic feels there could be some academy award nominations for Picture and acting  ...

Can hardly wait!  as I didn't make the 'cut'  for the world Preview the other night ..

( but I did catch the world preview for TESB  back in May of 1980  )

Not a huge Star Wars fan myself, but I am a huge JJ fan so we are going to the opening midnight showing here. In fact, they have all seven screens sold out here (4 x 2D, 3 x 3D) for the midnight showing.

It felt almost like a remake of IV.
It was (of course) better than any of the prequels.
Maybe it was too much stuck in the past and not enough surprises and new twists for a new director. Maybe he'll have more courage next time unless he plans to remake V and VI too...

Erm, did you watch Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness? Courageous, JJ is not.

I liked it, it was a stand up double.  Very curious to see what Rian Johnson will do with Episode VIII.

gonna wait till after xmas to see this . .but not wanting any spoliers  am curious to know abut one thing though:

Because this is a Disney movie  and not a 20th Century Fox film  .. I would and will  imagine my disappointment in knowing that there will be no 20th Century Fox fanfare  instead what do we see..?  The Disney Castle with Tinkerbell flying over head in an arch?

...  "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....",      right ??

There's no Disney logo at the start of the movie. Just a small one at the end of the end credits

I saw it at Cineplex.  They had the usual sneak previews pre-show feature.. then about 10 minutes of commercials  then a few previews.  Then an animated short, that ended up being a cineplex short.  Usually another sequence is shown about the feature presentation.  This was skipped.  Then it started, no 20th or Disney logo.. just a Lucasfilm Logo before the crawl strated.

This is definitely the movie to see at  a Big Screen Cineplex... ( commercials and all.. )

But lets take some betting  for fun  on when this will be released on Blue Ray & 3D ...

There are people out there who just can't take the crowds,,  the prices , mobility troubles  and of course those pesky theatrical ads ..

I'll say ........ May /2016 .... (Maythefourth  ?.) ..

Well looks like there are some cameos in this too.

The link below does contain spoilers, so you've been warned.

I finally saw it yesterday. Great film, god fun, definitely better than Episodes 1 thru 3; I'd put it on par with Episode IV, but I think it's too early to say for sure.

There is a logo for Lucasfilm and Bad Robot follow by the "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."

The film has a very fast pace and ince it eventually slows down a little, to give the audience a breather, you can really feel it. Then eventually it picks up again for the BIG finale.

I think I will see it a second time at the cinema.

It is amazing how long the internet (the part I frequent) avoided spoilers. Only act Saturday did I feel a slight increase in spoilerific comments, so I went into the film almost spoiler-free. Thanks to the internet for that.
