| Posted: | | | | It's the only Cinematography credits on the disc. Yes or no to credit? | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| Posted: | | | | No, I wouldn't add it.
It doesn't match anything allowable in the Crew table, and it could just mean the Camera Operator. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | Context would help. What is the title? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Context should not matter as far as the online database is concerned. Either it's a valid crew job per the rules, or it isn't.
For my local database, I would look at the context. If it was indeed the sole cinematography-related credit in the entire film, I'd probably enter him into my local database using the non-contributable custom crew field. Before doing so, I would also take a look at the person's other credits around that time: how was he credited in the films he worked on right before and right after this one? While not conclusive, that does help to paint a picture of whether I consider his work worthy of inclusion in my local database. But the "best" outcome would still be that I entered him using the non-contributable custom crew field - even with all the context in the world, under the current rules "Principal Camera" would not qualify for a "Cinematography" or a "Director of Photography" credit. |
