Well, hazardous to my health, at least. I started watching season 4 of "24" on Netflix the day before yesterday. I ended up binge watching the whole season in two days. What makes this especially unexpected is the fact that I usually (but certainly not always) get bored with movies that are longer than an hour and a half.

I guess this just goes to show that the writers on "24" were excellent at creating cliffhangers. Now I dread starting season 5. It's a good thing that I'm retired so I don't have to miss work ...

That's why I almost abandoned movies. Sure, I watch one here and there. But on the whole? Investing in a or multiple characters for a mere 90-120 minutes? Not worth the effort. Try at least three seasons!

Addictive... yes! But hazardous...?
Well, in case of "24" it could be if you drink a shot every time Jack Bauer kills someone... 

Seriously, a good series really can tie you down, just watched "The 100" Season 1 in less than 36 hours and can't wait for the Blu-rays of Season 2 to arrive (still preordered but not sent).

The lack of creativity and risk-taking in Hollywood certainly doesn't help. Nowadays all too often it's either the nth American remake of a good movie made elsewhere or superhero franchise nr. 23.
