Quoting Discostu from the Plugins forum:

Many profiles in the database have IMDb data instead of the actual credits. One way that makes it easy to identify them is that they don't have group dividers. Instead they contain several credits in a row that have the same role, for example:

Adam Adamson.....Cop
Ben Brianson.........Cop
Charlie Chow........Cop

I don't know if this is even possible, but it would be a nice feature if Database Query could give me a list of all profiles that have the same role for multiple actors.

Well, I can't do anything about Database Query, that is Mark's domain, but I did write a small utility that does exactly this from an exported collection file. See here

It displays all titles that have two or more adjacent identical roles, and you can save the result as a flag set.

Just keep in mind to check against the credits... I have seen many, MANY credits where they are actually listed like that in the credits so shouldn't be  changed.

Agree with Pete. It is a very flawed assumption that credit writers will always use a group header just because the next 5, 10 or 15 people have the same role.

I've seen many a credit roll where there are dancers or protesters or workers are simply listed as that, each one getting the same role without any group header.

If you checked my download page you would have seen a very prominent note pointing out that you must check against the actual credits before contributing any update.

Pointing them out as IMDb data is an incorrect assumption. They might just have been entered in Profiler before group dividers were introduced when this was the only way to do it.

True, but the origin isn't really important. If they are credited in the movie under a group header they should be credited likewise in Profiler.
