| Posted: | | | | Hello guys...! I have this kind of box set, with two movies: Nymphomaniac Vol.I e Nymphomaniac Vol.II. Both the movies are on the same disc (a blu-ray disc). How I should insert those movies? I have the EAN for the box set, but what have I to use to identify the two movies? The ID Disc is the same and also the EAN...!?! Thank you for your help! | | | Last edited: by H&M |

| Posted: | | | | The new alternative version feature can help. http://www.invelos.com/dvdpro/contributions/Rules.aspx?display=altversionsMore than one film on the same side of a single disc (including Bonus Feature Films)Use for: Different films on the same side of a single disc.Do not use for: Different cuts of the same filmThe first added entry uses the base Disc ID, and subsequent additions use the next available alternate version. | | | Think different
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end. |

Being one film this should not be added as alternate version but as a single profile. If each part of the movie has its own credits on the disk you can use the episode divider for that. | | | Recently bought films:
The Matrix [Blu-ray] | Shirins Wedding [DVD] | The Graduate [Blu-ray] | Prometheus [Blu-ray 3D] | Hwal [DVD] | | | Last edited: by Discostu |

OK, so it's not that easy, but I still think this should be treated as one movie (it was definetely intended that way and shown that way at its premiere) and that this is the reason why your release only has one disk. But I guess it would not be incorrect to make an alternate profile, I just think it gives kind of an false impression. This situation is similar to the Grindhouse feature by Rodriguez and Tarantino. In many countries the movie was split up and Planet Terror and Death Proof were released individually (each with additional material). But this does not mean that all the Grindhouse DVDs and Blu-rays should now be split into two profiles. I think such situations are best handled if you treat it as three movies: - Nymphomaniac (every release containing both parts) - Nymphomaniac Vol. 1 - Nymphomaniac Vol. 2 So in roughly the same way that Grindhouse is treated at the moment: - Grindhouse - Planet Terror - Death Proof | | | Recently bought films:

| Posted: | | | | Why weird.... may want to buy the first volume to see if they even want to bother with it. And not have to pay for both volumes just to see if you want it or not.
As for the box set question... does each volume has it's own opening and end credits?... if so then I would make it a box set.
How it was intended or even how it was shown in it's premiere doesn't come into it here... all that matters for the profiles is how the film(s) were released on disc. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you all for your hints. In Italy we have dvd or blu-ray disc with for the volume I and the volume II. In my blu-ray disc, I have both movies, not the "big one", so I think i have to consider it as a box set, even if there is only one disc...! Thank you again! |

That's just weird... Who would by I but not II ? Cuz 2 was horrible! Your both right though, while unrated versions of each half were sold separate, the director's cut only came with both. Not sure what the difference is, not fan enough to find out. |
