| Posted: | | | | I've never contributed a review before but have just done so yesterday taking the time to write one up. I'd like to know why the contribute review box uses the "Notes" tab from the profile? I normally use that tab for a lot of extra info I enter in when editing/personalizing a profile at the outset. For instance, I'll detail the special features listed for the disc(s) in question.
The problem is this data loads in the window and I have to delete it to enter the review and then submit the review. If I don't do this the extra data (special features, etc.) is sent along as well. I have to also remember to uncheck the "save review to notes" below or the review will overwrite the data already entered there.
Essentially, I have to cut and paste the existing notes data elsewhere and repaste it back after submitting the review.
What a drag! Does anyone have a better way of dealing with this? The samething applies if I'm only submitting my "colorbar" review for a movie/disc as well. |

I was going start submitting reviews myself with 3.0 but after realizing that my notes information could be lost if I wasn't carefull I decided not to take the chance. I use the notes alot so it's not worth taking the chance for me. | | | Video= Sony TV / Sony DVP-NC85H (DVD) / XBox 360 (HD-DVD) / PS3 (Blu-ray) / WDTV Live Plus (Haxzored) QNap Media Server with 10 Terabytes of DVD's ripped so far. | Posted: | | | | One way to prevent this is to use the Use HTML for Notes option under Tools->Options->Display. Note that you can still enter notes as plain text with this enabled, but the default font for note display will change. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Ken... If you do submit a review with the HTML for notes enabled the original notes we have allready entered will actually stay in tact?... I'll give it a try soon... Thanks for the heads up Ken... Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: One way to prevent this is to use the Use HTML for Notes option under Tools->Options->Display. | Posted: | | | | With that setting on the review will not fill in with the current notes and the checkbox to save into the notes will default to off. If you check the box it will save to your notes. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |
