| Posted: | | | | My Android version was purchased and installed from the Amazon (US) app store. Until recently it would run and update data from my online data @ Invelos. Then, about a month ago it would take forever to synch the data, then stop. I figured perhaps I should clear out the app's cache in the systems setting and start again. Instead I now receive the "Unfortunately, DVD Profiler has stooped" message. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled via the Amazon app store several times and still get the same message. Using cleaning app to clear out obsolete apk's and other debris left behind such as Clean Master & CCleaner have made no difference. In the meantime, the hard drive on my laptop has crashed and I am awaiting a replacement hard drive. The online file was cleaned and repaired before the last upload and is always kept fresh each week. I haven't upgraded the DVDProfiler Windows to the latest version yet due to other priorities This should in no way have any effect on why the Android version has simply stopped and fails to run... unless the Android version now only works with data from the latest Windows version. Help... I haven't found any clues in these forums. I lodged a support ticket in the Amazon App store which I thought would have been forwarded to Invelos, as developers of DVD Profiler. That was two weeks ago and I haven't been contacted by anyone from either amazon or Invelos. | | | Veni, Vidi, Visa, Vista, Voodoo, Vino I came, I saw, I bought, I installed Vista, I'm now haunted, I need wine
Apologies to Julius Caesar in 47 BC who said "Veni, Vidi, Vici" - "I came, I saw, I conquered." |

That was two weeks ago and I haven't been contacted by anyone from either amazon or Invelos. My understanding, however flawed, is the app hs to be able to communicate with whatever store it was purchased from (in my case the Google Play Store). This has to happen routinely. My only thought is something on your device is blocking that communication. Do you run a mobile AV? Or a mobile VPN? ANY kind of software that would need permission for DVD Profiler mobile to communicate through it. If anyone has a clearer picture of this issue, please respond. PS File a Help ticket here also. Can't hurt. |
