| Posted: | | | | ( this has probably been discussed before) .. been noticing that certain titles such as Dark Victory or Strangers on a Train has the aspect ratio of 1.37:1 rather than 1.33:1 which I can agree on ..
but the dilemma I am facing is when I use 1.37 it still reads 1.33 full frame on my profiler page, if I add both 1.33 and 1.37 it now has two aspect ratios as if it is a double type feature .. when I use widescreen box it now reads 1.37 but not full frame., which I guess I can live with and can partially agree on ..
but when I see the contributed notes by others on these titles I see the title can be 1.37:1 and listed as full frame .. whereas I can not get this to read the same on my own profiler data..

| Posted: | | | | In graphics mode the icon and text will show 1.33:1 but if you switch to text mode it will show 1.37:1. This is because as soon as you tick the Full Frame box it will assume it's 1.33:1. Bug or feature but it's been that way forever. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | So 1:37:1 is Widescreen as wider than Full Screen :-). Then you wan't have the problem and it will show up correctly. | | | * 3D TV Panasonic TX-P65VT30J + Blu-ray Player Panasonic DMP-BDT500 My Filmcollection online: www.filmkino.ch * |

| Posted: | | | | The rules describe full frame as "Films that were filmed at 1.33:1 or Academy Ratio and presented as such." (my bolding)
Academy Ratio is of course 1.37:1.
So doing it the way SwissFilm suggests does not comply with the contribution rules. It is as iPatsa says: a program limitation (bug or feature...). |
