The startup code did not change in version 3.9.1.  Here are the results of my informal testing for startup time:

3.8.2 - 9.3 seconds
3.9.0 - 7.4 seconds
3.9.1 - 7.4 seconds

For general tips on improving startup time, please see the support article "How do I speed up the program startup?"

hi again! meanwhile i double checked it and found that it was running additional Services that made the more payload for the System. after having them cancelled everything is fine again and fast...

now i found another thing i have no clue about to solve...

Wow, I'll have to take a look at this to see if I can speed it up on my end.  I timed the load on my side and here were the results.

3.9.1 Splash Screen - 92 seconds
3.9.1 Welcome Page - +35 seconds

A few more tips:
- If you have a virus scanner installed, set it to ignore the directory where your database is stored.
- Check whether another program is hogging the CPU/HD:
  - Right-click the task bar and select Start Task Manager
  - Select View->Select Columns. Enable "CPU Time"
  - Click the 'Show processes from all users' button at the bottom.
  - Sort the list by CPU time. Look for active tasks that have used/are using significant CPU.
  - Take care/research before you decide to shut anything down.

Mainly the lag between "Main form activating" and "Freeing splash" has reduced by 5 seconds. Maybe because Profiler does not find the availability of a newer version anymore.

Also, I do have both the 3.9.1 b1657 and 3.9.0 b1591 (beta) installed on my machine albeit in different directory locations.

One thing I noticed is that even though the beta is installed in a separate directory (DVD Profiler_beta) it still writes to the debuglog.txt located in the non-beta folder (DVD Profiler).

Non-beta location:  /AppData/Local/DVD Profiler/
Beta location: /AppData/Local/DVD Profiler_beta/
