| Posted: | | | | This profile: 841887019446 Is for the BD "Deluxe Limited Edition" of Downton Abbey, Seasons 1, 2, & 3.
It has a slip case and one profile listing all nine discs. The profile uses a single instance of artwork.
But the same content is also available as these profiles:
841887014281 841887016094 841887018173
Each having a separate HD keep case with separate artwork, and episode information associated with separate disc profiles.
In my case, I have separate HD keep cases and the art for each is unique -- but no UPC codes.
So I have some questions:
I assume I could do three child profiles, each having the discs associated with them, and the unique artwork, and all the episode info for the discs on the main profile of that specific three-disc set?
Since each cover art has a different overview, I assume I could include that, as opposed to a single overview for nine discs?
Could I also do / update nine different disc profiles, with episode information for each disc? That way also appeals to me because that way I know which episodes appear on a particular disc.

I've read this again, and it just seems that there are multiple ways that this could be (and has been) contributed. It appears (per the rules) that I'm not supposed to strip discs from the existing single profile for a new submission. |

| Posted: | | | | Going by the way I read your post (if I read it right) and the rule that Ken finally decided on (after much arguments in the rules committee forum)... Because of this rule... Quote: In cases where multiple complete TV seasons/series (each with distinct UPC/EAN) are packaged together, the Box-set rules are applied, treating each season/series like a single film - applying the above rules for its individual profile. there is no season level profiles since they do not have a distinct UPC/EAN. But you can make disc level profiles per disc. | | | Pete |

But you can add children profiles, one per disc: Quoting the rules: Quote: Individual profiles for each disc may be submitted if desired, but this is not required. Add these profiles to the box set contents of the parent profile. |

So in my local database, in order to get the different artwork for each season in place, I created a parent / container profile for each season under a manual ID number, and that works for me. But if I understand you correctly, there is no way for me to share this seasonal scanned artwork with the rest of the community. No joy here for the "alternate version" thing ... |

| Posted: | | | | Not at the season level, no. But you can create disc-level profiles which can be contributed. If there are already disc-level profiles in the database as child profiles for the 3 UPCs you mentioned, you can use the variants feature for the disc-level profiles in order to get the correct artwork. |

| Posted: | | | | Like dee1959jay said.... you couldn't with season levels. They are not allowed in the online in this case. depending on how the case is set up you could at disc level. As the discs would use the case that it is housed in. | | | Pete |
