| Posted: | | | | Sorry if this was already discussed, but I haven't found a thread about a case, where the credits show
"Excerpts written by" in addition to the normal writers.
Should it be contributed and entered as "original material by" or should I leave it out? |

| Posted: | | | | "Original material by" is for people who created an original work that the film/tv show is based on (Tolkien for LotR, Conan Doyle for Holmes, etc).
Just as posed it would seem to me that a person credited for "Excerpts written by" would be writing for the film/show. In which case an OMB credit is entirely wrong.
Thus leave out. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

| Posted: | | | | If I understand "Excerpts" correctly it means "Parts". So, if at all, the person would get a "Writer".
I, personally, agree with Danae though. Leave it out. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
