"Corner Gas: The Movie" was released this month in both Blu-ray and DVD. Kickstarter backers at the $75 level and above received a 2-disc Blu-ray and DVD combo of the film that to my knowledge is not available at retail. This item has its own UPC.

I'm preparing to contribute the profile for this item and was trying to work out how to calculate a suggested retail price. The idea I had considered was using the difference in contribution amount between the previous level (which did not have the disc as a premium) and the level that included the disc. In this case, the difference in levels is $25.

Thoughts?

I think it is best not to submit a SRP for this profile at all. You do not buy the release at kickstarter but you donate money to the project and get the movie as a gift.
Recently bought films:

The Matrix [Blu-ray] | Shirins Wedding [DVD] | The Graduate [Blu-ray] | Prometheus [Blu-ray 3D] | Hwal [DVD]

I'd say: No retail, no SRP.

The difference sounds reasonable as $50 got no BD/DVD whereas $75 got you the BD/DVD in addition to all of the other stuff.  Have you tried asking the project originator what the SRP is valued at?

Now according to the Corner Gas Movie store the standard Blu-ray is available for $24.98 with a listed MSRP of $33.31 (how'd they come up with that)

The SRP should be no less than the standard edition.

This. Why would you be anal about submitting an SRP for someting that is not for sale?

Yeah, on further reflection, you're probably right.

Seems to me that it depends if the movie was released commercially as a dvd or solely provided to those that funded the kickstarter.

Essentially kickstarter funders should be seen as investors, so if the movie was released as a commercial dvd what was paid through kickstarter is just an investment, albeit one with a very specific return and the SRP for the commercial release would be relevent.

If it was never released commercially there is no SRP.
