*** It' a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
If you respect the absence of comma, you must respect the presence of *** LOL...that just made me spill my coffee... I guess Saul Bass forgot to add the commas when he was designing the title sequence (or thought the animated sequence looked better without them). Speaking of "on-screen titles", what would you call this : Mind you, there is no written title, which is only spoken as "Fahrenheit 4,5,1" or "Fahrenheit 4-5-1" (not as "Fahrenheit four hundred and fifty one") back in 1966 (before DVDs) one would have go by the official poster, or official trailer... in the case of IAMMMMW here's the official poster (also designed by Bass, look ma, commas) and official trailer ...to comma, or not to comma... | | | Last edited: by JMGuer |

If you respect the absence of comma, you must respect the presence of *** Nope... if you look closer you only see two stars with six peaks and one point with five stripes |

| Posted: | | | | On a related note in regards to the 3 Stooges.
Since they are credited as just a group is it permissible to add the individual actors/stooges as uncredited?
Many of the three stooges starred in non stooge films and having just a Three Stooges credit won't link the individuals to this film. |

If they are more often credited with their individual names than you can enter them like "Moe Howard (The Three Stooges)". If they are more often credited as "The Three Stooges" then I'd use your method. | | | Recently bought films:

If they are credited, regardless of how they are credited...group or individually...then they can't be entered as "uncredited" because they aren't uncredited. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Many of the three stooges starred in non stooge films and having just a Three Stooges credit won't link the individuals to this film. The fact is Joe DeRita does appear in the film, uncredited as such. Ditto Larry Fine and Moe Howard. In my local they get added. Quoting marcelb7: Quote:
So... the original title without commas? You can, of course, enter whatever you like, but the fact remains that "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World" is not the original title of the film. The film was, is and always has been called "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World", the animated title sequence notwithstanding. The film was made, released, promoted, advertised as "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". | Posted: | | | | Sorry Marcel, CubbyUps, and others.... I'm locking my local database Cast based on the proposed changes that you have submitted for this title.
Since The Three Stooges have had four cast changes in the Curly/Shemp role over their careers, I like knowing which Three Stooges actually appeared in this film. It also helps when using searches or filters to determine which Stooge actor appeared in other film or television presentations.
Thanks guyz! |

Thanks guyz! I do not mind that at all, good sir! I've locked many profiles in my collection, too. |
