Found a triple feature at Walmart which contains The Possession, The Cabin in the Woods, and Sinster.  I'm attempting to create a profile with children.  I've created the parent, I've already associated the 3 individual movies as box set contents for the parent triple feature.  Since the children already exist as separate BDs, do I need to also contribute the children along with the parent profile contribution?  Or do I just contribute the parent which contains the children as box set contents?

My guess is a bit of both.
If the disc ID's match existing, use those for the all the info and change the covers to the triple-feature parent and link them as box-set contents to the new parent. Oh yeah, change the SRP to 0 and the release date to the parent's also, everything else is the same.

EDIT/ADD: I think you have to link the children by disc ID, or the solo covers will be there (which I do locally anyway, but it's outside the rules so I never contribute them). The UPC's they are under wouldn't be valid in the set, so you probably have to change that to disc ID. If the existing are already in by disc ID only, then I have no idea what to do.

Bad thing is, I don't have a BD player on my computer to check disc IDs, I just added the children by Disc Titles.  These are the 3 individually released BDs of the 3 movies, just combined in a triple feature set.  I've only been able to find this in a Walmart B&M store, Amazon doesn't have it, DVD Empire doesn't have it, hell, even Walmart.com doesn't have it.  Googling the parent UPC# turns up nothing.  As a result, information regarding this is scarce, I don't even have a release date for it.  At the top of this case it says 3 Blu-Ray + 3 Digital HD, the set actually contains the 3 individual BDs plus 3 Digital Copies plus 3 UV codes.  For $9.96 it seemed like a hell of a deal!  Now I just need to get it into DVD Profiler.  I've scanned the cover images, I've added the individual discs by Title and associated them in Box Set contents, I've included as much information as I can find for the Parent, now I just need to contribute the package deal...

The correct way is to use the DiscID, but if you don't have a BD-rom than there isn't much you can do.  I've seen some added in the past, and of course you can change the covers, release date, etc in your local, but obviously don't contribute it.

It is a great deal.  I really enjoyed both Cabin in the Woods & Sinister, haven't seen The Possession.

I've contributed the Parent profile (containing the associated Child profiles), I guess we'll just have to see how it turns out.

Yes, that one.  I couldn't find that anywhere online to retrieve details for.

Most likely it'll be accepted and cause confusion in the future as people won't know if there was an initial release that actually had the discs with UPC's or not.

You really should submit this without the child profiles as already suggested.

If you can't get the disc ID's, you should probably just contribute the parent without the boxset contents (since they are technically different) and note that you don't have a BD-drive and ask for help with the children. Sooner or later someone else will get the set and contribute them. This has worked for me on similar stuff as I don't have a BD-drive anymore either.

I agree with Lithurge and bigdaddy.  If you can't add them by disc ID, you should not include them in the contribution.

Agree as well... UPC based profiles should not be attached to a box set unless there is a UPC for each individual disc (multiple cases).

I have a similar issue with a Scooby-Doo double feature on BD (883929374670). It comes with 2 BD discs, 1 for each movie. Without a BD drive, however, my hands are tied in setting up the child profiles. It looks the similar to this one: here
