Hello,
I have a little (or maybe serious?) problem.
I have bought a new pc and now I've reinstalled DVDprofiler on it.  I had made a data-backup of my collection on a stick.
Now I wanted to restore the backup on the new pc.
After some time it stopped and said : data-error.
So I tried it again ... same result.
Now I closed DVDProfiler and restarted it.  It opened automatically my collection (the backup) and on first sight, I can't see any problems.  Also the record-counters are correct.
Now I would like to ask if I can trust this situation.  Is it possible that somewhere in the database some records or other data are lost?
Can anyone help me please?  Thank you.

Do you still have the old PC?
Make an XML-export on both machines, zip those files and send them to me I'll figure a way to easily compare them. And/or make another backup.

Do you still have the old hard-drive and is it installed in you new system?
"File -> Open Database -> Browse" and open the old DB and make an XML-export.

Is you online collection recent?
Create a new database, "File -> Open Database -> New" and download your online collection into that new and empty database and make an  XML-export.

Thanks for you reaction.

Meanwhile it's ok.  I've made a new backup and did it using my nas instead of the stick.  Maybe there was something wrong with the stick.

Thanks again.

If you haven't already done so, make sure you do a database repair on the new one...just for the heck of it.
