Is it because they were scanned with the banner in the scan.. and if so why where they approved?? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Most of the time you have a cover without any Blu-ray banner whis is sitting in a HD Keep Case or HD Slim Case where the banner is simply the top of the plastic. In these cases DVDP automatically adds a generated banner to mimic the cover + the case. But when the cover actually has a Blu-ray banner printed on it (which is true for many slip covers) then it's par of the cover art and has to be scanned and therefore will be visible no matter if you disable the automatic banners or not. Let me give you an example: Here you have a standard cover for an HD Keep Case or an HD Slim Case. It doesn't come with it's own banner. The banner is part of the case:  But here the cover and the case are one and the same, inseperable:   Here you can't disable anything, because there's nothing to disable. | | | Karsten

| | Posted: | | | | The problem with the Criterion titles, of course, is that they don't use normal HD cases. Unfortunately, DVDP doesn't have a designation separating these from "HD Keep Case" or "HD Slim" so it automatically puts the banner in because it assumes it's in the usual blue case.
