Over the years  I occasionally have this problem.. today is one of them .,  whenever I go to backup  or restore a certain title.. it seems to hang at 25%  then I get that error message :

Have you tried a complete shutdown and startup of your computer?

If by "memory" it means RAM, a shutdown will free a lot of it up (logoffs and reboots do as well, but I trust a shutdown best for this)
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

Sounds more like it reached a specific limitiation. 32 bit programs (like DVD Profiler), can only address a maximum of 2GB RAM (in the normal case. It can be extended if DVD Profiler is compiled in a specific way).

Does this title have something big associated?
Did you try database repair? Maybe there is something broken in the database and it got into an infinite loop somehow. What is the memory consumption by the process dvdpro.exe in the task manager, when this happens?

OK  got it Fixed !!  ..  discovered in My Documents I had dvd profiler in there twice  the second one was 'branched off'  the first one ..  and the size of both now total  4.84 Gb  instead of 2.48 gb ..  so took a gulp and deleted the second branch ...  emptied recyle  and then when I went into and  restored mode  that one title I needed ..,    it worked .. !
