IMHO Prosthetic Makeup = Makeup Effect and Special Makeup = Makeup For this reason I have written "per the rules". Because currently, these terms or similar are not in the table. | | | Hardy

| Posted: | | | | According his personal website it's David Leroy Anderson in stead of David LeRoy Anderson. So maybe it's possible to check which of those two is common as well.

http://davidleroyanderson.com/ Off course I could check it, but as Discostu pointed out CLT couldn't distinguish and some credits are only in uppercase. | | | Hardy

only 2 should not be credited.
so this common name thread IMHO is invalid. | | | Last edited: by ateo357 |

so this common name thread IMHO is invalid. Sorry, but this is not correct per the rules! None of the listed credits is in the table. So they are invalid per the rules. Quoting Contribution Rules (Credits): Quote: The table below gives each of the crew roles available within DVD Profiler. For each category, include only those people credited with the roles listed in the "Role" and "Credited As" columns. If someone is not credited with one of these roles (or direct translations of these roles), do not include them in the Crew section. | | | Hardy

For my profiles I write it without the capital R. For me, this thread was a way to determine what's common. If the whole name is written capitalized I persist to use the standard capitalization rules. There's no difference between the other characters so it shouldn't be written with a capital in my opinion. |

He's on my R2 dvd profile for Shocker and this proves he should be! The rules need to be rewritten so simple words like "key" won't cause good data to be considered wrong. Half of us consider "prosthetic" to be a direct translation of Make-up effects, what is so wrong with direct translations? Isn't the purpose of the whole program to track who did what for things we care about? Why limit it and ignore fine data because it has one extra word in the listing? Go for the spirit, not the letter of the rule! Thank Ken for the locks and ability to do it right on my local, gonna go add him to Frost/Nixon right now as I track prosthetics locally until I can flood the database with em if they ever change the rule wording. |

| Posted: | | | | Prosthetic makeup is now in the crew table as a valid credit. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |
