Alfred Hitchcock: The Classic Collection
883904-295846
First thing I noticed is that there were no child profiles for either Notorious, Rebecca or Spellbound.
There are just discs / DiscIDs for the UPC above.
Now since I'd like to see the cast, crew and other info, I had DVDP identify the "inserted discs" in the set and added the following to the box set contents for the above UPC:
Notorious
883904-252498
Rebecca
883904-252542
Spellbound
883904-252528
Except, of course, they're not packaged separately. They're just discs in a 3x case.
So I'm trying to figure out what I should do in order to re-submit this. In addition to wiping the discs from the main profile, I assume I have to also do something with the UPC field for each disc (wipe it?).
When you erase the UPC does DVDP automatically populate that UPC field with DiscID info?

About the cover art images: Do I submit the images I've modified for the purpose of this box set? I'm confused because these same DiscIDs could be used again for other box set collections. It seems that there might be some possibility of a collision there, unless DVDP is not just focusing on the DiscID when assigning cover art. |

In this situation i submit the cloned profiles (which, assuming they are new to the database, will be approved and available within 24 hours). I don't wait but will immediately submit the parent with the box set info. The parent will take several days to get approved so you will have time to amend/correct/withdraw in the event there is something wrong with the child profiles. Quote:

There are existing profile images associated with the UPC codes that I deleted and replaced with DiscIDs, and this is what is confusing me. I'd be perfectly fine with using those images, except for the fact that the box set image rules don't permit this, if I'm understanding things correctly. I think this submission must use the existing slip cover art for all of the child profiles. Is that right? |

As I understand it you have created new profiles (disc id based) from existing UPC-based profiles. The new profiles should use the new box set images. They shouldn't be submitted with the UPC-based images. | | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
