I have a (hopefully) simple question and I tried using Google but couldn't find a thread about it. Do we profile bonus discs for a single movie? I always thought in those cases, when it's not a bonus disc part of a box set, we placed the features in with the parent profile.

I believe you're correct. We only profile bonus discs if they're part of a multi-film or TV box set.

Oddly enough, the answer is found in the Box Set section of the rules, and the answer s no.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Tradition seems to point toward including feature-length documentaries, but not collections of miscellaneous features.

I agree.
This a DVD profiler is it not. I profile every disc I get.
Sometimes I wish I had not start box sets.
Now that a number complete series I've bought I'm getting behind in adding them.

But that is only if the bonus features are for multiple films in the set

This is in the box set rules

Quote:

If a Box Set contains discs of Bonus Material for individual films, do not create separate profiles for these discs. Add the information to the individual film’s profile as normal for a single film 2-Disc set. If there is a disc of Bonus Material for all films included in the Box-set, create a separate profile for this disc.

How I interpret this is:
1) If the bonus disc is for TV an the set contains more than one season and the features on the Features disc spans multiple seasons then profile it
2) If the bonus disc is in a multi-film box set and the features on the disc span more than one film in the set, then profile it.
