| Posted: | | | | Ok, so I got the "JFK" 50 Year Commemorative Ultimate Collector's Edition in and was wondering how I should profile it. Here are the contents (discs): All of these in one, digipak case: - JFK: Director's Cut Blu-ray (movie) - PT 109 DVD (movie) - JFK Remembered: 50 Years Later DVD (documentary available separately) - John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightning, Day of Drums DVD (documentary available separately) This in an envelope case: - Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States - Chapter 6: JFK: To the Brink DVD The rest of the set just has booklets, a poster and such which I know would profiled in the main profile. BTW, this is the item: http://www.amazon.com/Year-Commemorative-Ultimate-Collectors-Blu-ray/dp/B00E5QTWLI |

BTW, this is the item: http://www.amazon.com/Year-Commemorative-Ultimate-Collectors-Blu-ray/dp/B00E5QTWLI Sounds like all of those are re-releases. PT 109 and John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightning, Day of Drums appear to be in the database, and JFK Remembered: 50 Years Later appears to been released separately and could be added. I bet the Blu-ray Disc ID is used in the database. I'd use that and change the UPC, cover scans, release date, srp, etc and use it as the parent. Then I'd use the DiscIDs for PT 109 & John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightning and change them to the DiscID, if not already used by another set. If JFK Remembered: 50 Years Later isn't found in the online I'd create it from scratch. | Posted: | | | | Ok, sounds good. I'll just to the main feature and work on the child profiles down the line (busy working on reviews). |

If the Children are in the database already it's pretty easy. If you check by adding them by Disc, and you get a hit, add it and then change the UPC to the DiscID, and the correct locality. If it doesn't alert you that there is already a version than all you really need to do is update the cover scans, release date, SRP to $0 & overview (if applicable) If it isn't in the database it isn't quite so easy. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |
