I'm currently auditing "Oz the Great and Powerful" in which a John Paxton appears in the role of "Elder Tinker".

According to IMDb this is an actor who died in 2011. Could this be?
Can anyone confirm his appearance?
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

One would think that if you're auditing the cast that you could confirm his appearance.

Here is what Wikipedia says about filming the movie: "Principal photography for Oz the Great and Powerful began July 25, 2011, at Raleigh Michigan Studios in Pontiac, Michigan"

And IMDB lists the expiration of John Paxton as November 17, 2011.

So it looks like it "could be".

Thanks,

and "No" I couldn't confirm it myself, since I haven't watched the movie yet.

For me "auditing" means to scrape through the credits without caring about the feature itself.

That's all I was talking about really.  I wasn't expecting you to personally have to recognize every actor, though it may have come across like that.
