| Posted: | | | | I recently purchased "Ghost"on blu-ray. The UPC overlabel, unknown to Profiler was: 883929302215
The original artwork has this: 097361305042
Should I clone and submit?
The over-label on the sleeve covers some artwork that the original UPC does not. Would I still copy the artwork thru the rear sleeve to show the over-label? |

You can if you like, I believe this is one of the older Paramount releases that WB is now distributing. I just did a bunch of them as I picked up a shipment form my Dad's that I had mailed there when Amazon had a price mix up back in May, I got 48 blu-rays for just over $70. They will all eventually get modified artwork with the new UPC and a small WB logo near the UPC. In the meantime they are just using stickers for the old stock. you can submit it with the new rear cover scan (has to show the same UPC you are contributing), and eventually someone will contribute the new cover. Most of the 48 had stickers, and only around 12 had new artwork. In all the cases the DiscIDs matched. In cases like this I just go with the UPC underneath. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server | | | Last edited: by DoubleDownAgain |

Wish I'd seen that "mix up"! Has it been discussed anywhere (link?) here? I'm not sure if it has been... I happened to check Blu-ray.com before bed one night, it was just after midnight. I noticed the deals at the top, a bunch of blu-rays for $1, so I looked further and there were a bunch from $1 to $2.50. So I grabbed a bunch and placed the order, it was fixed shortly afterwards, but to Amazon's credit they honored all the orders. I guess what happened was those prices were supposed to be price drops by that amount, but got put into the system as the actual price. I got lucky, just happened to check at the right time. Downside was that I had to ship them to my Dad's as the shipping cost to me here in Canada would have been over $170, so I had to wait 3 1/2 months to get them. Off topic, but I find it amusing that it's cheaper to have blu-rays sent from the UK than it is from the US. US It's $5 per shipment plus $3.49 per item. In the UK it's around $3.50 per shipment and about $1.80 per item. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | I'd use the UPC under the sticker for these, unless you feel really helpful then you could clone the profile and submit the new UPC (as others will get that down the road as WB sells the left-over Paramount stock and starts printing their own covers with the new UPC's). If submitting the new UPC, I wouldn't scan the sticker though. Leave a note about how this is part of the Warner/Paramount deal and that copies with that UPC will or have starting showing up. Someone with the new UPC cover will have to submit the scans later. Front scans could be added to the new as nothing is changing on them, only the upper right back corners are changing on these, disc ID's remain and all specs are the same because they the same discs, just a different cover and price point. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

I didn't bother with the ones with the stickers. But you should also change the Release date, 1/1/13 and add Warner Bros as an additional MC, as they are the distributor. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |
