I have just the IOS version on my iPhone and iPad.  Would like to print a list of my DVD collection. How do I do that?  When I hit the print button it said something about linking to something else. I just want to send it to a printer or an email that I can print later. Somehow to share my list of movies with my relatives. How do I do this ?

The print command is actually a remote command to the PC profiler, so if you run the PC Profiler you can initiate a print from iOS Profiler and have it print on the printer that is connected to your PC.

I think you can do this with the free version of the DVD Profiler for PC. But then again, if you have the PC Profiler you could just as easily print directly from that.

okay tried and failed.  Sharing is active and available through the internet, as I opened up a port.  The port test tool works on the DVD PROFILER for PC (have access to the internet).  So the free version does not work it seems, as it never recognizes a connection.

assume PC PROFILER is a paid application that would have to buy.

Sharing via Internet requires an external static IP adress (alternative a static DNS name) of the Host-computer.

If your ISP doesn't provide these you may want to try a DNS-provider (e.g. NoIP.com )

Anyhow try if the local connection (via WiFi) works before trying to connect through the Internet.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I tried via local wifi connection on the same subnet, which is how I always test. Keep getting the message that no connection available. Incidentally have had a DYNAMIC UPDATE CLIENT running for a long time to establish a permanent IP address. Still does not connect. The client on my IOS device never asks to be given an IP address. How does the IOS app know where on the LAN is the PC running the app?  Sure I have SHARE activated but is the IOS app smart enough to look ?

Was also thinking my subnet for wired PC is different than the subnet for all wifi devices. Maybe what prevent IOS client and PC client from seeing each other.
