| Posted: | | | | When I want to look for a movie that starts with a certain letter I just press it on the keyboard and my collection listing automatically goes to the movies starting with that letter.
This works for every letter except T, which will always go to the first DVD title starting with "The" (The A-Team), even when the sort title is "A-Team". Anyone know why this is happening?
If I delete "The" from the DVD title then pressing T will bring me to "The Adjustment Bureau", and so on. | | | Wondering when common sense will ever be common. |

Anyone know why this is happening? Yes. You're filtering on the letter "T", and titles that begin with the letter "T" will show up. Sort titles are just that, for sorting, not filtering. --------------- |

Anyone know why this is happening? This "blind typing" is intended to work the way you describe it. But you can type more than one letter! So your first 'real' title with a 't' is "Taken", just type 'ta' and voila. This works for up to 6 letters for me, 'dark s' brings me directly to "Dark Shadows" leaving "Dark Crystal" and "Dark Knight" behind. You just have to type somewhat fast because there is a time-out after which the next letter starts the process anew. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | Just for your information, if I press T I get The 6th Day, between (500) Days of Summer and 8 Mile, it seems that I do not own a title with Se7en, do you? | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Thanks for your always valuable insight but you have a rather weird sorting system if "(500) Days of Summer" sorts with "5" instead of "(" and yet 500 comes before 6 and 8. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

What's weird about that? 500 before 6 is standard sorting in DVD Profiler... And I delete punctuation marks in sort titles too. My sort titles look like 00003TageDesCondors or GeisterDieIchRief to get the sorting I'd like. | | | |

And this way 006thDay and 008Mile would come before 500DaysOfSummer. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
