| Posted: | | | | Both Names are in the List of Accepted BYs And for both names only the BY of one person is listed as approved. What is with the BY of the other Madsen (1957) and the other Anderson (1964)? Contribute them or not? | | | Think different

| Posted: | | | | There is a lot of times that the second person's birth year can't be found. So we can only submit the one to the online database. What a lot of people do is put a fake birth year for the other name (Something like 9999 so you know it is an obvious fake... and not accidentally submitted)... but these can not be added to the online database. | | | Pete |

Contribute them or not? You can contribute them and give a link to the proper post (just like you did here) and they should be accepted. It might be they are already approved but nobody updated the post. | | | |

Contribute them or not? You can contribute them and give a link to the proper post (just like you did here) and they should be accepted. It might be they are already approved but nobody updated the post. If it is not in the system you will see a checkbox at the bottom asking whether to contribute the BY. If the check box is not there then the BY is approved and all you have to do is put a link to the post. Most of us that add BY's will document all the BY's we found possible for that name and put it in the post. but the person posting may only have one of them in their collection so they just submit the one. But that leaves the documentation there for another to contribute. What I do when contributing the second BY that someone else documented I document the link and I go into the post and copy and paste all the detail documentation from the BY thread post into the contribution as well.. I do that just to ensure that the second level reviewers see all the documentation. |

| Posted: | | | | I contributed the BY of Michael Madsen and got this no vote: 1957 is not an accepted BY. Only 1971 but this is not the one here. The 1957 has many films and is without BY: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=250804&messageID=1540183#M1540183 Right or wrong? | | | Think different

If two or more people have the same common name, each of them will get a birthyear as long you can approve it. Since the 1957 is already been proven in the BY thread, you're 100% correct to contribute it. Edit: In fact the 1957 is already approved and in the online database. I have several profiles with this one. | | | | | | Last edited: by StaNDarD |

Well that title does in fact have Michael Madsen 1957 in it I would PM both of them, point them to the BY link and this thread and make sure they know the 1957 BY is in fact accepted and the Michael Madsen in this film is Michael Madsen 1957. In addition in case they do not reverse the vote, put a comment in the contribution pointing out the same facts and a link to this thread. That way the screeners will know that the NO votes are incorrect. |
